PLANNING PERMISSION SECURED
After more than a year in the planning system, the club is delighted to have secured planning permission for the new development adjacent to O’Ceallaigh Park. This marks a significant milestone in the journey towards delivering this major project.Given the scale and cost of the development, the project will be delivered in phases.
The timing of each phase will depend on available resources and any grant funding opportunities that arise. However, the club intends to prioritise the realignment of Lover’s Lane to provide site access, improve safety, and align with the proposed new footpath from Portglenone. This will involve working closely with statutory agencies to help ensure successful delivery.The indoor training facility, incorporating a ball wall, is also a key priority and will become the centrepiece of the development.
Future phases will include changing rooms, a social area, car parking, terracing, and a play park.Recognising the significant costs associated with each phase, careful planning and a sustained fundraising programme over the coming years will be essential. We now have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to turn this vision into a reality, and we encourage all members to support the club as we launch a range of fundraising initiatives.
