26th November 2023
Casements and Geraldines held a fantastic Juvenile Presentation Night on Sunday 26th Nov in The Wild Duck Inn were we had a brilliant turnout to celebrate the achievements of both our young Geraldines Camog's and Casements Footballers of our community and they all also got a chance to witness the new development plans for Páirc Uí Cheallaigh and Páirc Uí Chathain.
Casements Chairman, Sean McAleese, started the proceedings with an overview of the evening, then Development Committee Member, John Kearney, gave us a breakdown of the new footpath to our pitches along the Gortgole Road and he went on to outline the future development plans of the new facility's down at Páirc Uí Cheallaigh.
Club Treasurer, Donal Murphy, discussed the future development plans and how these will require major financial backing and the key role that 'Club Portglenone' will have in securing finance and potential sources of grant aid.
Claire Doherty then took the stage to lead the Geraldines Camogie Presentations and with the assistance of Special Guest, Catrin Dobbin, from Loughgiel, she introduced the Teams and their mentors from Fundamentals up to U16 and the various awards were presented.
Brian Burns then took to the mic to lead the Roger Casements Presentations and with the assistance of Special Guest, Eoin McAvoy from Derry GAA and Magherafelt GAC, he introduced the Teams and their mentors and then presented the various awards from Fundamentals up to U17.
Congratulations to all our award winners tonight. A special mention goes to all our mentors and coaches who give so willingly of their time throughout the year. Thanks to all parents/guardians for bringing their children to and from trainings and matches during the year.
